Interestingly, iCue will still randomly remove its own start menu entry - but after adding it to startup and removing its ability to mess with the files, it cannot uninstall itself. As a result, it is readily apparent that the issues with the software are due to the software itself and not data corruption or some other technical reason as I had initially assumed.So i am guessing that some of the v.2.24.50 files were not removed upon update to version 4. Long story short here is how i finally had to fix the issue. 1. I had to remove version 4 via windows uninstall. 2. Then i went into my program files and program data files and removed all folders that had to do with iCue.There might be hardware settings available. These are then saved in the RGB controller and I believe you can even uninstall iCUE afterwards if you like. As far as fan profiles, yes, those are saved to hardware automatically, no need to run iCUE after you've set them. Fan profiles will persist across reboots without iCUE. As for lighting, you need to set the hardware lighting profile for each, which is much more limited than the regular iCUE profiles.
